The hotly anticipated shortlist for the CEEQA 2015 awards announced at the 2015 Mipim global real estate fair in Cannes saw the development arm Skanska Commercial Development Europe and construction arm Skanska SA listed for four times between them, with two nominations in the Office Development of the Year category and one nomination each for Developer of the Year and Construction Company of the Year, in the New Europe property sector’s biggest annual awards for business achievement across 18 countries in New Europe real estate in the past calendar year.

The Swedish powerhouse also stands a chance of winning the award for overall Building of the Year CEE, and had already been named as the RealGreen Developer of the Year for the third year running in the announcements made at this year’s [email protected] New Europe Breakfast.

Asset & Wealth Management (formerly RREEF) and international built asset management company Arcadis took the award for RealGreen Service Provider of the Year. All four winners of the awards go through to the overall award for Green Leadership in the main CEEQA 2015 awards section.

They are free to enter and are judged by a jury panel of senior industry representatives of market leading companies across Central & Eastern Europe and and Southeast Europe with the voting closely supervised by globally trusted consultants Deloitte.

A feature of this year’s shortlist for the main CEEQA Awards is a dramatic increase in the number of high quality projects from Bucharest in Romania, reflecting a recent upswing in the Romanian market, which also saw a number of important transactions during 2014. Projects from Ukraine, Bulgaria and Serbia also feature on this year’s on the shortlist, as well as projects from regional cities in the core CE4 countries of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary in addition to the dominant urban markets of Warsaw, Prague and Budapest.

Another feature is the number of industrial developers reaching the overall Developer of the Year shortlist this year with P3 Logistic Parks, Panattoni Europe and Prologis, reflecting another recent trend in the surge of interest in distribution centres. While in addition to Skanska, also receiving multiple nominations in the shortlist are NEPI, Echo Investment, P3 Logistic Parks, CBRE, Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield, Knight Frank and JLL, while first time appearances on the shortlist include Griffin Real Estate, PPF Real Estate, Thasos, Atenor, MG Inwest, Shikun & Binui, Polaris Hospitality, Saint Sophia Homes, Dentotal Investment, Soravia Group, MLP Group, ING Bank, Balmain Property Management, LogiCor and Turner & Townsend.
