Turnover of retail trade goes up by 2.9 percent in 2012

The turnover of retail trade, in unadjusted terms, rose by 2.9 percent in 2012 from 2011, according to the data released on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics

'In 2012, compared to 2011, the turnover of retail trade (except for the trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), in unadjusted terms, increased by 2.9 percent, due to the growth saw by the retail trade in car fuels in specialized stores (plus 6.2 percent), sales of food products, beverages and tobacco (plus 2.4 percent) and sales of non-food products (plus 1.6 percent), an INS release reads.
 

According to the quoted source, the turnover in terms adjusted for the number of business days and seasonality increased by 3.3 percent, due to the growth of retail trade in car fuels in specialized stores (plus 6.7 percent), sales of food products, beverages and tobacco (plus 2.9 percent) and sales of non-food products (plus 1.9 percent).
